We chose our wedding day for a few reasons:
1. May is both of our favorite month.
2. It was Memorial Day Weekend, meaning we had a long weekend to celebrate, and will always have that long weekend to celebrate our future anniversaries.
3. Synchronicities (a few of them):
May 24th, 2025 in the US format of writing a date is a palindrome, meaning it goes forwards and backwards 52425. We also met on February 24th, so this 24 keeps popping up for us. When we add the number of the day we met (2+24+2019=20) and the numbers of the day we were married (5+24+2025=20).
Our day began with Kim staying and getting ready at the hotel, and Dan was home in our apartment getting ready. Dawn and Lyle came to pick up their future son-in-law and drove him to the church, which was before Kim arrived. A driver came to pick Kim up in a Rolls Royce Dawn at the hotel, and drove her to Our Lady of Mercy for 11:00am ceremony time. Both of us felt calm, cool and collected the entire wedding day, and we were just so excited to be married to each other.
